<p>Spicy Thai Cabbage Salad is one of my favorite raw food recipes and super easy to make. Ive omitted the oil, cashews and raisins from this recipe because Im working on slashing the fat off my body as quickly as possible (the oil and cashews are high-fat and I didnt add the raisins because I didnt have any on hand). So far Ive lost a total of 13.6lbs in 13 days by eating only raw foods. My average weight loss is 1 pound per day on a raw food diet which is actually more than I was losing when I was doing the HCG diet! This recipe is also good for Phase 2 on the HCG diet. Heres the full recipe: Ingredients: Red cabbage Green onions (shallots) Cashews, roughly chopped Raisins Apple cider vinegar Olive oil Chili powder (or cayenne pepper) I dont have measurements for this because I always eye it when making salads according to my taste. <p>I swear I am not getting paid to advertise these &#8211; they just really really work at keeping you hydrated, flushing out your systems, and of course &#8211; they&#8217;re yummmii, duh!!! Seriously &#8211; I really have to credit sooo much of my first week weight loss success to Crystal Light. I lost 6 pounds in 7 days by like maybe 3 days of cardio and not really changing what I eat (except for cutting out fried foods and sweets) but really, just drinking lots and lots and lots as often and as much as I could. For one thing, liquids really DO fill you up (have about 2 crystal lights before one of your big meals &#8211; trust me, you won&#8217;t be able to eat as much as you normally do). Two, you&#8217;ll have to be tinkling every 10 minutes (not really &#8211; more like every hour or 2 &#8211; which is good and healthy). Keeping hydrated seems like such a simple thing to do &#8211; but honestly, I do have to make an effort to remember to drink BEFORE I become parched. And I was always a skeptic, but really I&#8217;m not bloated AT ALL, my skin is clearing up faster than I could imagine, and I feel good and not so sluggish! Now, drinking water and other yummii beverages, I&#8217;d say is the easiest part! To cut out booze and cola is fine, I&#8217;d rather save those calories for yummii solid food. But cannot lie &#8211; dieting (life change) is hard&#8230;I mean I&#8217;m really CHANGING MY LIFE &#8211; everything I&#8217;ve known and done for the past 21 years is getting altered&#8230;so I wouldn&#8217;t expect that too be easy. I&#8217;m starting with gradual change (just saying no to <b>&#8230;</b></p>

Well, the twelve-day grapefruit diet claims to do just that. I am wary of any diet that insists you eat only one certain food, or one food most of the time, but there are definitely some health benefits to be found in the yummy citrus fruit we call grapefruit. The grapefruit diet that has been around for a number of years is also known as the twelve day grapefruit diet because it is designed to be done for twelve days, with two days off, then resumed for twelve more days, and so on, until you lose the amount of weight you want to lose. For the most part, the twelve day grapefruit diet limits your calorie intake to a very minimal eight hundred calories per day. Can you imagine? When you only consume eight hundred calories, whether you include grapefruit or not, you are bound to lose some weight. However, the twelve day grapefruit diet does have you either eat grapefruit or drink grapefruit juice with every meal. In addition, it limits the other types of foods you can enjoy. For example, the veggies you must give up on the twelve day grapefruit diet include tomatoes, celery, cabbage, peas, cucumbers, green beans and lettuce. When this award-winning documentary was first aired the US National Cattlemen&#8217;s Association mounted an aggressive campaign to discredit the program and keep it from being aired. But the attempt to thwart the show failed, and the program went on to be one of public television&#8217;s all-time most successful documentaries. This well-documented expose of America&#8217;s &#8220;factory farms&#8221; should prompt even die-hard meat-and-potatoes lovers to reevaluate their diets. Asserting that &#8220;we are ingesting nightmares for breakfast, lunch and dinner,&#8221; Robbins details how livestock is raised under increasingly industrialized conditions by &#8220;agribusiness oligopolies.&#8221; Grazing and foraging have given way to debeaking, tail-docking, dehorning and castration, and treatment with pesticides, hormones, growth and appetite stimulants, tranquilizers and antibiotics which, in turn, are assimilated by humans who then suddenly become sick. <p>Dr. Peter D&#8217;Adamo created the &#8220;The Blood Type Diet&#8221; which you can find in his book &#8220;Eat Right for your Type.&#8221; The premise is quite simple: Food has a chemistry. Your stomach has a chemistry. So does your blood. With that in mind, some foods will react positively and negatively with the chemistry of your body. Dr. Adamo&#8217;s diet ( www.dadamo.com en.wikipedia.org ) is not so much a diet as a selection of foods. You choose the foods that will benefit you. For A blood types (I&#8217;m A+, and a new book takes into account the positive and negative) like myself: We are supposed to be vegetarian hobbits. Cultivator: Little to no meat (no red meat, just poultry), only sprouted wheat bread (ezekiel, essene), no oranges, no milk, no bananas, no tomatoes, no lima beans. The rest can be found on the website. My advice is that an instructor in a basic training environment (drill sergeant at Basic Combat Training, drill instructor at Marine Corps Boot Camp, same for Navy and Air Force) try out the diet themselves for one cycle, and follow it through the next cycle. Measure your weight, how well you perform various activities, and your general health and mental state. (Warning: Pineapple will help you loose weight, and apparently make you sit on the toilet, a lot.) I have followed the diet and maintained an active military exercise regimen, and found no drawbacks (well, my wrists seem to be getting arthritis, but that could be because I&#8217;m on the computer so much).
